SOUL CONVERSATION: Living History In Albina

Soul Conversation is a panel discussion featuring Albina's music legends and moderated by Juma Sei of the 1803 Fund. Musicians played a vital role in Albina's historic Black community and their abundance is an important marker of the community's enduring presence. This unique gathering of elders sheds light on Albina's cultural heritage, with a nod to the future of Black Portland. The discussion features Ken Berry, Bill Deiz, Paul Knauls, Norman Sylvester, and Calvin Walker. AMT's archival photography will be presented in conjunction with the conversation.
