Join us for an evening celebrating the 95th birthday of Mr. Paul Knauls, Sr.—our beloved “Mayor of Northeast Portland.”
The evening will feature a live performances by Bridge City Soul, The Legendary Beyons, DJ O.G.ONE, MC Ken Boddie, and special guests. We’ll have snacks and a birthday treat by Le Bontemps catering as well as a photo booth by Antonio Harris. Guests will also enjoy an immersive photo installation documenting Mr. Knauls’ lifelong contributions to Portland’s Black arts and business communities.
Presented in partnership with Albina Music Trust, Albina Vision Trust, and the Portland Trail Blazers, this event celebrates Black joy, history, and resilience on this important milestone of Mr. Knauls’ 95th birthday. This celebration honors Mr. Knauls’ enduring legacy of entrepreneurship, community care, and musical excellence — uplifting the past, present, and future of Black Portland. Tonight we honor a living legend and public servant.
Proceeds from this event will go to the Geneva and Paul Knauls Scholarship Fund, empowering students in Portland, Oregon who aspire to build futures in the trades. In collaboration with POIC, we’re investing in the next generation of skilled workers and community leaders.
